The bmw xm It is one of the boldest and most controversial examples of the German manufacturer’s design language as the flagship of the M brand, according to many it boasts a face only a mother could love. Reason why Thanos Pappas made some renders for Carscoops where he transplants the face of the XM to other models in the range bmw showing what the badge’s fascia looks like on different body styles.

The spotlights split, the huge illuminated kidney grille, the complex air intakes and the large part of the bumper painted black are not easy features to match. But still, it’s not bad to try.

Since the new series 7 / i7 and the refreshed X7 have already received the split-headlight treatment, the 5 Series will receive a new generation soon, while a number of BMW models, including the X5They will be renewed very soon. Therefore, they took 2 Series Coupethe 3 Series Sedan and the x4 to carry out the renderings. This to create a diverse mix of body styles that features a compact two-door coupe, a traditional four-door sedan, and a smaller coupe-SUV-style model.

Starting with one of the smallest in the BMW range, the 2 Series Coupe he has also caused some controversy with his frontal styling. Actually the XM’s headlight configuration looks slightly more refined than the original clusters. The grille is too big for such a small car, but overall the facelift is more appealing than expected. Even the black area on the bumper helps take some visual weight off the bulky nose.

Next up is one of BMW’s flagship models: the 3 Series sedan. The German automaker recently revamped the 3 with a softer approach. Again, the result is pretty balanced considering the face of a full-size SUV was taken and added to a low-slung four-door sedan.

All the lines in the front make the 3 Series’ profile look dated, and the double octagonal grille catches the eye. Although surely there will be some people who prefer this aspect over the M3 / M4. For the 3 Series, a wilder color scheme was tested with gold on the grille and alloy wheels and a striking red for the bodywork.

Lastly, the XM face was tested on a model with a similar body style to the original. The coupe-roofed variant of the X3 marketed as the BMW X4 was taken. Here, the front bumper looks natural, as the proportions of the vehicle are not affected at all. This mini XM might be the real thing, but it could rob the flagship of some of its glory if it looked so similar. While the Bavarian brand is working on a new generation for the X3 and X4, the camouflaged prototypes show a resemblance to the X1 rather than the wild XM.
