The aforementioned robbery was recorded around 4:15 in the morning, when a person who was driving a van jeep cherokee Gray stopped at the dealership. He then broke the glass with a brick and took the keys to a locker.
He then drove away from the area and returned with a U-Haul to steal the vehicles. Several suspects got out of the U-Haul, who took the vehicles out of the parking lot one by one through an operation that, according to the authorities, seemed rehearsed.
“If you look at all the camera angles, you know they are being dropped off in different parking lots. They’re working everywhere, almost like they’re rehearsed,” said operations manager Jeremy Stephens.
High-end, high-powered cars worth $631,000 were seized by thieves in a matter of minutes.
“They’re just waiting for the guys to come out with the keys. The first truck they took, a TRX, costs more than $90,000. The Hellcat is over $90,000, three or four cars were valued at over $90,000,” Stephens describes.
It is worth mentioning that eight different drivers raced the 10 cars in the lot, leaving empty spots and tire tracks where the vehicles once sat. The dealership believes this is part of an elaborate auto theft ring.
“We had some friends in Winston-Salem and Charlotte, they had the exact same scenario,” says Stephens.

The vehicles were stolen directly from the dealer’s lot, police say. And the cost of the units, they estimated, ranges from $50,000 to $90,000.
The thieves first seized a Dodge RAM TRX pickup truck, worth more than $90,000. In addition, among the stolen cars is a Corvette convertible, a Durango SRT, a Dodge Hellcat as well as several Challengers and Chargers.
In this regard, the CN authorities consider that it is a car theft network. Similarly, three other stores in Winston-Salem reported robberies that police believe were carried out by the same criminal group.
