Zeekr isn’t a popular brand in the United States, but Geely’s new EV brand for China is picking up speed with some very capable machines. For example, him Zeekr 001 2023which comes with a 140 kWh battery pack that provides electrical power for a range of up to 641 miles (more than 1,000 km) between two charges. Basically, this does, as far as we know, the world’s longest-range production vehicle.
Debuts the Zeekr 001 2023
For 2023the zeekr 001Described by the automaker as a Luxury Safari Coupe, it comes with the same two electric powertrains available in the pre-facelift version. The base version sports a single electric motor that generates 286 Hp (200 kW), while the flagship model comes with a dual motor configuration and a maximum output of 536 hp (400 kW). The latter accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 3.8 seconds.
Three battery options to be sold in China. The first two, at 86 kWh and 100 kWh, carry over from the previous version of the model, providing, respectively, 339 miles (546 km) and 460 miles (741 km) on a single charge. But also comes a huge 140 kWh battery, which will be available for as few as 1,000 units of the EV. This gives the Zeekr 001 a range of 641 miles (1,032 km). Also note that all numbers are based on China’s CLTC cycle.
As for the exterior, not much has changed, and this really isn’t a surprise considering the 001’s original release back in April of last year. The vehicle takes the form of a large lifted crossover hatchback measuring 195.7 inches (4,970 millimeters) in length. If it looks familiar in any way, that may be because it shares much of its front fascia with models from Lynk and Co, another brand under Geely.
