Lucid Air engine, transmission and performance
The entry-level Air features a single electric motor that drives the rear wheels and produces 480 horsepower. Other models have dual electric motors that provide all-wheel drive and a variety of horsepower ratings: the Touring model makes 620 horsepower and the Grand Touring makes 1,050.
The new leader is the 1,200-plus horsepower Lucid Air Sapphire, which has three electric motors. The additional motor is rear-mounted and claims to provide incredible acceleration performance to compete with the Tesla Model S Plaid.

Air has the longest range of any electric vehicle currently on the market, according to EPA estimates.

Lucid Air interior, comfort and load
The interior is equipped with luxurious materials and state-of-the-art technology. Lucid is especially proud of the sedan’s ample passenger space, highlighted by a large rear seat.
The Air’s glass roof makes it feel even more airy and aids in outward visibility. The sedan’s front center console appears to offer generous storage space behind the retractable lower touchscreen and within the large center console compartment, which houses a set of cupholders and slots for a smartphone.
Lucid Air 2023: Infotainment and Connectivity
This luxury car equipped with a sophisticated infotainment system that incorporates a large upper touchscreen that runs out of the fully digital gauge cluster and a tablet-like lower touchscreen that handles additional functions and can be retracted into the dash.
