The 2023 Nissan Altima arrives in Mexico as an update of its current generation. New for the midsize sedan is comprised of an enhanced suite of driver assists by the ProPILOT Asisst suite. Characteristics of the Nissan Altima 2023 in Mexico
The Altima body shows changes in the shape of the grille, fascia and LED lights, with sharper strokes and some new color contrasts. It also has new 17″ or 19″ wheel designs depending on the version. On the rear fascia there is a slight change in the shapes of the light signature of the taillights. The SR variant has a body kit giving it a sportier look.
Inside, the base design remains except for its renewed center console. Apart from that, it maintains elements such as the 8″ or 12″ touch screen, compatibility with Apple Car Play Y Android Auto wireless, Bose audio system, wireless cell phone charger, electric seat adjustment, leather upholstery, automatic A/C and more.
Regarding safety, all will carry 6 airbags, ABS brakes, electronic stability control, hill climb assist and reversing camera. As for advanced assistance, the variants can carry: tire pressure monitoring, automatic high beams, autonomous emergency brake with pedestrian detection and forward collision alert, blind spot monitor, cross traffic alert, lane departure alert and driver alert.
2023 Nissan Altima Powertrain
In the mechanical aspect there will be two engine options, the access variant will have a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that will generate 181 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, associated with a CVT box and front-wheel drive. The intermediate and top versions will carry a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine that will provide 248 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, also with a CVT box and front-wheel drive.
The 2023 Nissan Altima is now available at brand agencies and will compete directly against the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.
