someone left their Rivian R1S, one of the best SUVs currently on sale after being trapped deep in the ground on Christmas Eve. Surely the owner must be lamenting.
There is not much information about it, the image that accompanies the note was shared in Reddit by a user who says it was sent to him by a friend who is a state trooper.
According to the post, the “owner attempted to drive across the shores of a lake” Y “it’s been frozen there ever since”.
This attempt went extremely wrong and it appears that the ground was wetter when the R1S attempted to traverse the path. The rear wheel is covered in dirt and the entire SUV is sunk down to the running boards. Also, it seems that the rear window glass was broken.
The only reasonable explanation is that the driver was unaware of the conditions or the tide came in faster than he expected. Similar situations have occurred earlier this year.

In fact, rescues often last more than a day. If the ground is frozen, as the post claims, this Rivian will be around a bit longer before it can get out of the mud.
The driver probably had a story of Rivian’s off-road success from earlier in the year when they took on this particular piece of dirt.
