In the US, the SUV is currently offered with either a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine or a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, making 300 hp (224 kW/304 PS) and 375 hp (280 kW/380 PS), respectively. The GV80 turned out to be Genesis's second-best-selling vehicle in 2022, behind the more affordable GV70, and nearly outsold all of its sedans combined. So adding an option that could tempt more buyers to the brand may be a wise move.
