Its about Hyundai Ionic 5 and of the Kia EV6. Both South Korean vehicles sit on the automaker's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) platform, feature the same powertrain and transmission, and have nearly identical weights, though they can't be said to be completely identical for a number of reasons. However, no matter what the similarities between the two EVs, there will always be a winner in an endurance race. It is so Technically Jeff from YouTube shared on video a straight line showdown between the two models, which saw a winner at the end of the quarter mile. The Ioniq 5 and EV6 compete in a drag race As mentioned, both the Hyundai Ionic 5 As the Kia EV6 they are built on HMG's E-GMP platform, which also underpins the 2023 Genesis GV60. The powertrain delivers up to 320 Hp (239 kW) and 446 lb-ft (605 Nm) of torque, sent to all four wheels. The ionic 5 comes in SE version, which is slightly lighter than the EV6 It comes with a trailer hitch installed. It's important to note though that the car owner has already equipped the EV6 with a set of lightweight Titan 7 forged wheels which can affect its unsprung weight and offset the added mass of the trailer hitch. Judging by the video, it appeared that the driver of the EV6 moved a bit ahead at the start, giving it a slight edge from the line in the endurance race over the Ioniq 5. The gap between the two stayed pretty much the same through the quarter mile, suggesting that having had a fairer start, the result would have been more even.
