The Kaiyi KYX3 Pro 2023 is already being sold in Chile

Chile’s automotive fleet is close to 70 brands thanks to the arrival of Kaiyiowned by Chery, which seeks a Deep participation in the passenger market.

The firm is extreme with models like the KYX3 and the KYX3 Pro, a kind of “decaffeinated” versions of the Chery Tiggo 3 and the Chery Tiggo 3 Pro.

Kaiyi, a bit of history and context

This is the entry mark to the Chery Group, while Jetour escapes in Chile to a more aspirational position, Kaiyi is for young people looking for their first car.

This group, during 2003, developed the sub-brand Cowin, to give life to discontinued models or ways to that, with adjusted prices and, in regions of high demand.

Already in 2014, Chery decided to make these models independent, under the Cowin Auto brand. In 2018, it was acquired by the Yibin Governorate and renamed Yibin Kaiyi, although in China it keeps its name Cowin.

Through its models, the brand becomes a tremendous alternative for customers since it efficiently takes charge of current mobility needs and trends.” said the general manager of Andes Motor, Louis Left about this debut.

For his part, Gustavo Aravena, manager of Light Vehicles at Andes Motor and main executive of the brand in Chile, highlighted that “Participating in this segment with two such innovative, youthful, connected and avant-garde models generates great expectations for us”.

Dimensions and design

The KYX3 Pro is a refreshed version of the KYX3, so it retains its dimensions compared to other models. The changes are in the front, because it has a sleek design and a grill with a slimmer top section and a large lower air intake.

In the back it boasts a redesigned bumper, as well as two exhaust outlets.
