The new Triton Rally Car

The Triton Rally Car it’s pretty close to the stock pickup it’s based on. And it is that, a L200 as a base and the 2.4-liter MIVEC turbodiesel engine with 181 hp and 430 Nm of torque remained almost intact. The same goes for the Manual gearbox six-speed and Super Select 4WD system.

As far as the exterior is concerned, the forms follow, but not the components. The Triton is slimmed down with carbon-fiber body panels, while a race-spec roll cage has been added to the interior, along with Bride seats. A Sparco steering wheel was fitted as well, as was a Motec racing instrument display and a customary rally-style hydraulic handbrake.

Although the most changes were made to the suspension system, with the standard double wishbone front as well as the upgraded leaf spring rear with adjustable Cusco shocks. Also Cusco supplied new LSD in the front and rear. Also new are 17-inch wheels with Yokohama tires, and Endless disc brakes that have been upgraded with four-piston calipers.
