USA: Retired Couple Gives Million-Dollar Classic Car Collection to Northwood University


Their names are Mike and Diane Morey, a marriage of Michigan, United States that you have decided to donate your millionaire collection of classic cars to a university.

The money raised by auctioning the vehicles will be used to finance student scholarships and improve the facilities of the enclosure.

The collection consists of 35 cars and they were obtained as a result of work carried out in a family business in the timber industry.

The vehicles will be auctioned at the Kissimmee 2023 event, which will take place on January 4 and 15 on North American soil. Bids will be in charge of Mecum Auctions.

“You get to this age and there’s not much you want. For us, doing this for the university outweighs all the fun we’ve had.” the protagonists comment.

The collection is held in more than 2 million dollars and they hope to sell it during the first half of January. The money will go to the Northwood University.


What are the cars in this collection?

The 35 classic vehicles They are from different eras, mostly produced in the United States. One of them will not be auctioned and will end up on display on campus as a tribute to the Morey family: 1958 Chevrolet Corvette.

Among the highlights are a 1932 Ford Roaster, a ’32 Ford Hi-Boy and a convertible. There are also several chevrolet belair from the 50’s.

Also, there are several muscle car as a Corvette from 1960 and another from 1962, a 1968 Pontiac Firebird convertible, a 1966 Chevrolet Nova and a 1966 Pontiac GTO. 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda and a 1967 Shelby GT500.

Lastly, mention a 1981 Teledyne Continental Cheetah. This is a military SUV that was developed from the Lamborghini concept.
