Ford today revealed more details about the design of the Mustang Dark Horse 2024, sharing even the first photos of the interior. Clients will have exclusive colorsinterior trim details and special stripe packages to help show just how different your Mustang is from the standard model.
“The sinister, track-hungry attitude of the Mustang Dark Horse inspired us to select colors and materials in a way that underscores the vehicle’s athleticism,” said Ford senior color and material designer Carrie Kennerly. She further stated, “We spent more time in the cabin, making sure that everything in look, feel and function a performance driver could want conveys the performance that the Mustang Dark Horse is capable of.”

The most notable design element will undoubtedly be the new exterior paint color Blue Ember that changes colour. The tone was chosen to be “grim and sinister, yet complex enough to force a double take on the street,” the automaker notes.
The Dark Blue Metallic paint shade is pearlescent and features deep blue pigments plus warmer amber tones that make the finish appear to change depending on lighting conditions.
Besides, two special slot options will be offered for the outside. Available in vinyl and hand-painted, the accents are designed to enhance the performance-oriented exterior of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, premium painted stripe graphics take inspiration from the airflow over the Dark Horse bodywork and carry the gloss black finish from the center of the grille through the hood extractor, over the roof and to the rear spoiler. Hand-painted using a specialized process, they are unique to the model.
Interior of the New Mustang Dark Horse
The black and blue theme of the exterior is maintained on the inside, with a new anodized blue titanium shift knob for vehicles equipped with manual transmission six speed. The lightweight material was chosen so the design team could make the knob hollow, insulating it in hot weather and preventing burning your hand.
For buyers who opt for the 10-speed automatic transmission, there will be a traditional knob on the gear stick. However, silver anodized paddle shifters will be installed behind the wheel for a better feel.
Elsewhere, contrast stitching in Bright Indigo Blue can be found on the instrument panels, seats, gear shift boot and center console trim. The Mustang Dark Horse also features a suede-covered flat-bottomed steering wheel for better grip.
Meanwhile, the available electronic drift brake handle is anodized and features a leather-wrapped handle. The lever is designed to help the driver modulate brake pressure on the rear wheels to help initiate a skid.

Also available inside Mustang Dark Horse appearance package, which adds Recaro performance seats with deep indigo blue bolsters trimmed with bright indigo accent stitching. Blue seat belts complete the look.
