Mitsubishi Mirage 2023: Features
The design feels contemporary and looks on par with the competition. It comes with sharp headlights and a stylish front grill. It should be noted that from the rear, it looks amazing and has a stylish integrated taillight design with LED lights.
The base ES trim gets 14-inch steel wheels, while the mid LE trim upgrades to 14-inch alloy wheels. However, The higher-end SE trim flaunts nicely finished 15-inch alloy wheels. The Black Edition trim, on the other hand, adds a sporty exterior body kit to further enhance the car’s design.
Mitsubishi Mirage engine and performance
this car It comes with a 1.2-liter MiVEC 3 inline engine that is capable of producing 78 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated with a 6-speed manual transmission on the base ES model or a CVT automatic transmission that’s standard across the lineup.
The underpowered engine makes driving it a chore. Although the manual gearbox makes it a bit easier to drive than the CVT, the latter yields better fuel-efficiency numbers as it struggles to keep the car in the right gear.
Performance-wise, it’s painstakingly slow, needing over 12 seconds to hit 60 mph, while the quarter-mile takes around 19 seconds. Top speed is limited to 105 MPH.
2023 Mitsubishi Mirage: Fuel Economy
This car returns 41 MPG on the highway and 36 MPG combined. However, with the CVT transmission, fuel economy increases to 35 MPG in the city and 43 MPG on the highway. The 9.2-gallon fuel tank capacity does a decent job of providing around 330 miles of combined driving range.

Mitsubishi Mirage interior, comfort and cargo
The design is basic and made mostly of cheap plastics, but the fit, finish and build quality are very good.. The first row of seats is roomy to fit an average person quite comfortably, but overall cabin space is limited. The rear seats are not that comfortable and although they can accommodate 2 adults, they are best suited for children.
The 17.1 cubic foot trunk capacity available as standard is quite useful and much larger than the 12.1 cubic feet offered on the Mirage G4. The rear seats can be folded down to open a maximum of 47 cubic feet of cargo space.
Mitsubishi Mirage infotainment and connectivity
It comes with an intuitive 7-inch screen with some modern features like Apple Car Play and Android Auto they generally don’t come in basic cars.
Paired with a 4-speaker system, sound quality is decent, but you can upgrade to a $595 Rockford Fosgate Premium audio system that does a much better job. It’s true that nothing fancy is offered, but it covers all the basics well enough.
