The new generation of Ford Ranger It was presented a little over a year ago in its global version, although no details were given about its destination to the United States. This model is still in full development, as demonstrated by a lot of spy images
The photos capture the Ranger in its XLT version, the mid-tier offer. That said, the truck in the pictures isn’t much different than its global version, though it does show a redesigned fascia.
The global truck has a black plastic trim at the front, which connects to the lower bumper with the grille element. That disappears in this version and is replaced by a smoother, more distinct, flush bisection.
There are some tweaks to the rear, the highlight being the high-mounted brake light that’s been repositioned from the handle to the roof to make room for the requisite US-required rear-view camera. No other significant changes are expected under the camo.

The global version received an interior update, its dashboard has a vertical touch screen and a digital instrumentation cluster behind the wheel. The model for the United States should have a bigger screen to satisfy the tastes of its customers.
For now, powertrain information is elusive and it’s unknown if the engines that debuted in the global version will stick around. Reports talk about a turbocharged four-cylinder engine 2.3-liter EcoBoost for this generation. This mill can produce 270 HP and 310 pound-feet of torque.
Ford confirmed that it will sell the hottest Ranger Raptor in America. The global version was presented with a 3.0-liter V6 engine with twin turbocharger capable of offering 392hp Y 430 ib-ft of torque.
It is still unknown when the version for the United States will be presented, but it should take place in the coming months.
