Big changes are planned for the small crossover Peugeot 2008. The 2008 is expected to receive a mid-cycle refresh later in the year, bringing fresh styling and new electrified powertrains under the hood. Recently, they obtained first spy photos with the revised model as well as unofficial versions of the peugeot 2008 2024and that could be seen.
This is how the Peugeot 2008 2024 could look like
From Kolesa.ru they shared digital drawings of the Peugeot 2008 2024 in the GT-Line trim, which is the top-of-the-range grade for the crossover. As you can see in the pictures, the biggest changes from the pre-refresh model are in the front end, where the 2008 is expected to sport a new radiator grille inspired by the 308 hatchback and wagon, as well as the 408 fastback. In addition, the brand’s new logo takes center stage and below that grille sits a modified bumper design with faux corner scoops.
Minor headlamp adjustments are also possible, but the concept pictured this week featured the standard halogen headlights instead of the optional full LED clusters. At the rear, renderings propose slightly restyled taillights with new internal graphics and the new Peugeot logo. The rear bumper appears to feature minor tweaks as well.
Peugeot already confirmed that the new 2008 will have mild hybrid engines. These new PureTech mills will have two power stages (100 and 130 Hp) and will be associated with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The transmission will have a 21 kW electric motor for extra low torque and up to 15% better fuel efficiency.
Regarding the 100% electric e-2008, there could also be some improvements. Peugeot recently gave the closely related e-208 a new electric motor rated at 156 hp and a larger battery pack for up to 250 miles (400 kilometers) of range on a single charge. The electric crossover is expected to get the same hardware upgrades when it’s unveiled later in the year.
